A highly competitive dragon boat program for athletes under 50. This program is designed to compete at the highest international level within the U18, U24, Premier and Senior A age categories at a local, National and International level. New for 2022/2023
In order to continue building year-round team commitment from our athletes, PDBC has reformatted its program design to take place on a year-long scale, and the program you register for includes ALL options of that program (with very few exceptions; see below under “exceptions”). Athletes will now have the option of registering in one of the following ways:
- Local Annual – This means that you are a local athlete; you will commit to attending all portions of this program for the entire 2022/2023 season.
- Distance Annual – This means that you are a distance athlete, either because you physically live more than 100kms from Pickering, or, because you are unable to attend more than 60% of the practices over the course of the 2022/2023 season.
- Distance Winter/Local Summer – This typically represents University/College athletes who live at a distance in the winter, and live locally in the summer; able to attend 60% of practices over the winter months, and will commit to making as many practices as possible over the summer.
- Local Summer Only – This typically represents University/College athletes who live at a distance so great from Pickering that there are unable to attend any of the PDBC winter programming. These athletes will only be permitted to attend in the summer.
