Member Benefits
Membership Includes:
- High quality coaching services
- Use of pdbc equipment (dragon boats, paddles, pfd’s, etc.)
- Use of pdbc facilities (washrooms and dock slip)
- 2 - 3 practices per week (crews with international intentions may practice 3x)
- 3 competitions
- 1 end-of-season banquet celebration

Membership Does Not Include:
- Club racing jersey
- Individual entry into Canadian Championships

The following is a detailed description of the benefits accorded to each member of the pdbc:
High Quality Coaching Services
The pdbc has assembled as quality coaching team designed to meet the individual needs of each athlete and the collective goals of their assigned crew.
Use of pdbc Equipment:
Boats
The pdbc employs a fleet of the highest-quality dragon boats on Frenchman’s Bay. This fleet includes three BUK brand dragon boats. BUK is recognized as the international industry leader in dragon boat design.
The pdbc employs 1 War Canoe available for athletes wishing to expand their knowledge and broaden their range of paddling experience. A War Canoe accommodates only 14 athletes in a high kneel position. This position incorporates increased lower body stroke involvement and reduced boat stability.
Paddles
The pdbc provides its members with club paddles for practice and competition usage
PFD’s
The pdbc provides its members with club pfd’s for practice and competition usage. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that athletes purchase personal paddles and pfd’s.
Facilities
pdbc athletes will receive access to The Lake House change room facilities. These facilities feature change stalls, full shower and sink facilities. Frenchman’s Bay Marina reserves the right to prohibit usage if facilities are abused.
